This blog is designed for nursing students and new graduate nurses. The hope is that when confronted with horizontal violence in nursing, nursing students and graduate nurses will post their stories. Horizontal violence is a blemish on the profession of nursing. It is the aggressive behavior one nurse displays toward another. It is frequently displayed towards student nurses and new graduates. It can be bullying, intimidation, withholding of information, scapegoating, rumors, gossip etc. If student nurses and new graduates can prepare themselves for the behavior when it happens then together nurses can eliminate the behavior from the profession of nursing. Please join me in telling your "story" with the hope that it will help another nurse

  1. Sue,

Awesome. If you wanted students to tell their story, you would need to invite them as blog authors. Also remember that you want the blog to be closed if you were to really use it with students or nurses.... for confidentiality purposes.
